Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
This policy explains how the Guildly desktop app handles your data. The short version: Guildly is local-first— your messages, conversations, and project files stay on your own device, and we don't store them on our servers. The details are below.
Who we are
Guildly (“Guildly,” “we,” “us”) is a desktop application that runs a team of AI agents on your projects. This policy covers the Guildly app.
Your data stays on your device
Guildly runs locally on your computer. Your chats with the agents, the work they produce, and your project files live on your machine — we do not store your messages, conversations, or project data on our servers. There is no Guildly cloud holding your work.
Some things necessarily leave your device when you ask the agents to act: prompts sent to the AI model (see Claude Code & Anthropicbelow) and requests to any tools you've connected (see Tools you connect). Those are covered by the respective providers' policies.
Product analytics
We use PostHog for product analytics so we can see how features are used and fix what's broken. This captures usage events only — things like which screens are opened and which actions are taken. It does notcapture the content of your messages or what projects you're working on.
Claude Code & Anthropic
Guildly's agents run on Claude Code and use your own Claude Code subscription. When your agents work, the prompts and context they need are sent to Anthropic to generate responses. That usage is governed by Anthropic's privacy policy and terms, including whatever Anthropic chooses to retain.
We are not responsible for what Anthropic stores or how it processes that data, nor for the actions or decisions your Claude Code agents take on your behalf. You direct your agents and are responsible for the work they carry out.
Tools you connect
Guildly lets you connect outside services — such as Gmail, GitHub, Google Sheets, or Slack — to your agents through Composio, our integration provider. When you connect a service:
- You authorize access through that provider's own login (OAuth). Your agents act using the access you grant, only for the tasks you ask them to do.
- The connected provider processes your data under its ownprivacy policy and terms. You can revoke a connection at any time from the app's Connections screen.
- If you supply your own OAuth app credentials for a service, those secrets are stored encrypted and are never shown back to the client.
Information you give us directly
If you email us — for example to ask a question or make a privacy request — we receive the email address and message you send, and use them only to respond. We don't sell your personal information.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the limited information involved — including encryption of connected-service credentials at rest and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard data and limit access to it.
Your choices
- Your local data is yours — you can delete the app's data on your device at any time.
- Revoke any connected third-party service from the app's Connections screen.
- Ask us to access or delete any information you've sent us directly by emailing shubhamgl2003@gmail.com.
Children
Guildly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
